april 7th? backroom i assume. unloco was awesome last night but im a little confused as to how i feel now. thats the first time ive ever witnessed first hand what getting signed can do to a band. all you other folk here will probably hear that name somewhere along the line soon enough...unloco. theyre hot shit now. maverick fucking records. its bizarre to think no more than 5 months ago there were 20 people at the backroom to see them headline. last night they sold the place out. i was really happy i got to harass all the maverick records yahoos that showed up, they were swell. hopefully their tour with mudvayne will prove fruitful, if the tour with amen really fell through like joey was telling me last night. ah well...

I have not posted for a while and I am now going by the new moniker of "PLACEBO-BOY" I am waiting for THE START record so when will it be out? On the subject of the new Kerrang. I have it on my desk right now and it is "GEORGEOUS" as Aimee might say. Both TT & TB look sexy as all hell and whoever wrote below that it did not leave an imprint must be kidding right? These are two really beautiful women who are also very silly and cute and girlish which is the charm of this interview.I love that they were asked personal questions and felt secure enough to answer them for the readers. I loved the mix tapes they made also and plan to win them if possible.Tairrie B mentioned "Boss Hog" and I love that band loads how about anyone here?i do not have the old Kerrang with Aimee and RAYNA(THAT'S HOW YOU SPELL HER NAME!) but I do have the one with Aimee and Tairrie and it is really nothing like this new one but they are both great and good fun!

aimee is the queen of song.lovely sweet and so sexy is her voice.mmmmmm good.i really dug the show at the roxy last monday and finally got to a screen so i could write to you.cold were great too.i saw another band that i think was called "ostep" or something like that but the were weak and reminded me a lot of tura satana or really more tarrie b who I see people are mentioning below.i think the girl in that band is a pretty bad rapper and her screams are bad too so that was a dissappointment to sit through.thank goodness the start put on such a wonderful show.thanks for a great night and please post some photos soon because my camera broke and my film was destroyed.

which issue is it of kerrang?..or who's on the cover?...i shall go buy it to see the pics....and what everyone is saying about toby,tarrie,aimee,and jessicka...they are all there own person...i've seen them all except joj, and i pesonaly think they have there own way of singing and respect them to the fullest...toby sings, and so does aimee...but they don't sound alike...;it's like jessicka and tarrie...they are vocalist and they don't sound alike..you can make out there own special style of "singing"...they are all very talented women, how showed everyone, who had that stero-type that women couldn't do shit in the music buss. wrong...MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT TO ALL!!

I just saw the Kerrang spread on Tairrie and Tobie and I thought it was really funny and cute. They both have such a scary and intimidating image that I thought it was showing a lighter side of things. I saw Snake River on tour with Monster Magnet and I was looking forward to seeing them with My Ruin(which they cancelled because of the drummer breaking his hand or something?)but the difference was that Tobey sings and Tairrie screams.Tobey does sound a slight bit like Aimee but she also has a little Jessicka influence(I have only heard Jessicka on record and never seen her live)which is funny cause both Jessicka and Tobey cover the same song(Lovesong by The Cure)but in different ways. I don't think the Kerrang article is a waste of space because it was Valentines Day and sometimes it's nice to talk about Love and girl stuff(sorry guys).I also dug up my old KerrangS with Aimee and Tairrie and they were basically having fun being friends and Tairrie was pretend spanking her in the main picture. In the one with Tobey it is sort of obvious that Tairrie is holding the strings attached to Tobey's shirt and it may look a little bondage like but so what?If we wanna get picky about how these women all have posed I also have the issue Valentines issue the year later with Aimee kissing Rayna from Coal Champber on the lips so what does that say? My boyfriend has a copy of a Kerrang from a few years back with Tairrie on the cover for Valentines with her make up smeared and inside she is in a 50's leopard bathing suit(like the one that the woman is wearing on the cover of Speak & Destroy I think?) and she is on a red bed eating chocolate. If a guy poses naked it's fine and if a girl acts in the least bit sexy she is condemed for it. That stinks.I love all the women who are kicking ass and whether or not they are politically correct in every picture doesn't matter. I'm just glad someone is giving them some reognition in print.Aimee rules!

hello people... i wanted to post something up..as i am doing. i would like to say that the my ruin show rocked....tarrie and meghan are really sweet people(including others). i can't wait till the 9th....i feel like such a bitch,'cause at the time i was really mad that i wasn't able to go to theSTART's show..and i posted up something that said i would change the my ruin show for theSTART...well i take my word back...(i belive something happens for a reason, and indeed it did...the my ruin show was by far the best concert experience...). it took a wonderful person to open my eyes and teach me to be opened-minded..you know who you are..THANKS. the most incredable moment was..getting a pic with tarrie,meghan,and mike..and it came out so adorable...thanks to everyone for reading this post. I enjoy the music of snake river conspiracy but i do NOT think Tobey sounds anything like the wonderful Miss Echo. The only thing that could lead me to believe that someone would say that she looks like Tairrie is the black hair (????). There arent many females (in rock now-a-days)that don't wear short shirts & leather pants. i dont see why people compare to other people. Why do you think Aimee is like an evil Gwen Stefani? Miss Echo is far from evil in everyway. Everyone is different and should be respected in regards to this. Aimee, Tairrie and Tobey are their own entities. What a crappy thing to say about Miss B?Aimee and Tairre are two totally different people and I think that everyone would agree that they both do what they do extremely well. To say that Tairre doesn't have a mark on Aimee is a bit lame don't ya think?I love Aimee but I love Tairre too and the fact that people always compare them is getting to be stupid nowadays.Aimee is more like the evil Gwen Stefani mixed with Souxsie/Dale and a female Jay Gordon which is really cool and kind of 80's into 2001. Tairre on the otherhand sounds like Max Cavalera or Phil Anselmo with a bit of Zack de la Rocha. I finally got a chance to come to this site as I am officially online now yeah!I saw The Start at the Roxy on Monday and My Ruin at The Whisky on Wednesday. My question is why were Cold and Amen the headliners on these shows when both TS&MR were the best bands of the nights?I didn't get to meet Aimee although it wasn't for a lack of trying but I did meet Miss B and Mick her guitarist(who someone said is her boyfriend...boo hoo)and they were so sweet and I gave her a bag of Valentines gifts which she loved. I asked her if Aimee or Jessicka from Jack Off Jill were upstairs or at the show and she got a really sad look on her face and said no.Then someone grabbed her away and told me that they don't come to My Ruin shows. Is that true?I always thought that they were all really good friends but what do I know?Anyway I enjoyed both shows and I wish that they would play one together because that would be so great.Until next post I will say that this site kicks ass but you eed more photos of the band.

Lasnight was an AWESOME show!!! that band "otep" i think thats what it was..they were pretty cool. theStart was great of course.. luv the hair Aimee. COLD was rad too. i was very happy to see them! and Yeah PUKE, Fred did come out and try to do a lil singing. Where were you Puke? i was looking for you but i thought maybe u didn't make it. The rain was crazy, the ride home to riverside was scary... i almost stayed at my aunts who live about 10 minutes out of LA. because while driving home someone on the otherside of the fwy crashed all by himself. i heard it there was like 135 accidents in LA lasnight. yikes, i hope everyone was ok. but i made it and i'm glad i still went even though the rainstorm hit so hard.. well everyone take care, be safe. theSTART SHOW YESTERDAY WAS BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. I got to see theSTART and hear samples on just how great is their un coming album.The other bands were good too, i enjoyed OTEP mostly. I've been waiting to hear theSTART ever since i heard about them and when the time came I ever wanted it to end.theSTART played all the songs i love off their demo and I was amazed to see that so many people knew the lyrics to the songs when the album isn't even out yet. The best part of the night came after COLD had finished and almost everyone was gone. I was just waiting around with my cousin when Aimee Echo passed by us and stood around near where some people were selling band shirts and etc. Anyways, I was in total shock.I saw her interacting with her fans and I decided to go up to her.But first I had to get the nerve, so after much pushing from my cousin we went up to her. She was simply without question that most nicest and most beautiful singer ever.Boy, and i thought she was beautiful in pictures, in real life she was breath taking.So i talk to her and she signed (what was left of my ticket)for both my cousin and I. Afterwards, we were waiting outside still in total amazement for meeting Aimee and for our ride to pick us. While we were waiting Jeff Jaeger was walking pass us and we told him that it was a great show and shook hands with him. He was such a cool guy and a talented bassist.So anyways, sorry about writing so much but I just had to tell my little story.

A gorgeous day followed by a gorgeous night with the brighest waining moon. This was the day i realized that i have no friends. Aside from my boyfriend and his sister (and family of course) no one called or even e-mailed *with the exception of hot topic* me. So sad. ahh but theSTART plays tomorrow! i know what pple mean about gigs these days. I was at a gig and i had some idiot dressed in head to foot in chains, hit me in the mosh. I mean he punched me in the face with a knuckle duster. Then started punching the kid next to him, then another after that!! he when round punching everyone he could before some one bigger than him, punched him back!!! i go to the gigs and i dont mind the mosh having some risk involved but i think a knuckle duster is too far!

i went to see pitchshifter this weekend as im sre a few others of you did the bands were great! i especially loved earthtone9 but then i do, but the crowd was full of stupid kids who didn't have a clue, there so they could look cool top their friend and crowd surfing or rolling as it might be better to call it with their 10 million chains on cutting half the crowds heads off!!!! puke - it was a great idea but the people might think that they would look stoopid in polka dots and the circles on the hand thing would work cos then people can wear what the hell they want and still have something going on between them all! i think thats a really good idea! there is another way to get the things on your hands, get a pot of glitter and some bindi glue and glue it on! then when you go home you can wash it off. cos i was thinking that the UV pen thing might not come off as easily and it'll be there for life!

UV pens would work too but only if there is a good amount of blacklight! silver hologram glitter would look good too, like use some elmer's glue and put glitter on it, it will be very visible and make little rainbow colored sparkles when stage lights reflect off of them.. just a seuggestion :-)

one way of getting the circles to show up on your hands is to do them in a UV pen that can be bought from any hardware shop (i guess its america you guys sell everything!) or a money detector pen that you can also get from that type of shop! so...even though i'm not gonna be there to see the show i hope you all have a fantastic time, i know you all will, and to the band...good luck!

i think PMM should do 'fight' instead of 'a night like this' cause it's a little more bouncy of a tune. it would get all the metal heads moving and they probably wouldn't even know that it was to the cure.i dunno about funky patterns in general, lorie. all theSTART people dressed in stripes and the like? what would the COLD fans think?? polka dots would be best simply because they're circles. we can bring hula hoops as well, maybe some frizbies(sp?), and lots of bubble solution. marbles would be too dangerous. okay, howabout just anything spherical? sans marbles, of course.

I agree Puke, people do often insult a band when they don't know what they're talking about. BUT! I'm not insulting their musical ability. I personally don't really like their songs, and even though I understand why others might, I find certain other aspects (The synchronised stage moves, the faked Pathos, the rather unsubtle inducements to take vast amounts of drugs followed by a token Reggae number, and a dull FNM cover) slightly harder to swallow. But they are pretty talented musicians technically. Then again, so's Yngwie Malmsteen.......

i'll say this for 'papa' roach. it is unfortunate that they came into the public eye as soon as their particular style of music is dying out. 90% of everyone that says they suck don't play an instrument so they really don't know what they're talking about. it seems that we tend to say that a band "sucks" or has "no talent" when it's just a simple case of not liking the type of music the play.
it's going to be interesting to see what you all have to say when theSTART gets popular and people start adopting little derogitory nick-names for them like "theSUCK."

Bastard interscope and when I found stuff on getmusic.com it had the release date as 09/08/2000 which was when it shud've been but wasn't. okay, i dont normally do things like this but it's really important so here it goes... my dad and i have a guitar/bass/amp shop in upland, california that does repairs and modifications. we're seriously going to go under if we don't get more business. the shop has been going for 5 years in it's current location and before that we were doing it out of our dining room at home. my dad has worked for jackson and ibanez making guitars and we're both musicians and electritions so we know whats up. i know a lot of you are either in bands or playing solo or at least know people who are. at some point everyone's equipment breaks so all i'm asking is that you come to us. obviously this does not apply to those living in the uk or other states unless you really want to pay the shipping costs. the e mail is below as well as our currently kinda shitty web site. so PLEASE spread the word cause it looks like we have about a week, maybe less!

has anyone read the march 01 metal edge with marilyn manson on the cover? out of all the articles i actually read there were no less than 3 typographical errors in each one. why the fuck do they even have editors? oh yeah, there was also an up-and-coming music section thingie in there that had PMM in it. they mentioned theSTART twice (once in reference to who they've played with and the other was talking about aimee's guest appearance on their album) and human waste project twice as well.

Bloody hell i hate living in London. I have just spent the last 3 hours trying to get into work... the journey usually takes 40 mins. Somebody had pulled the 'emergency' lever on a train about 6 stops ahead of mine and as a result every train going into central London was stopped at one station and there were about 2000 people on the platform and so it got so crowded that they had to evacuate the station!! Then there was an hour wait for a bus to another station so my mum came to get me and dropped me off at Walthamstow to get another line in!!! I eventually rocked in at 11am!! grrrrrrrrrr Sorry but i had to vent my frustrations!! feel much better now tho... apologies Fx

Yay Puke! *insert fanfare here* Hmmmmm, Linkin Park.... Well, I must admit,Chester has a great voice, but the songs I've heard don't exactly grab me. I remember the first time I heard most bands, something hit me, something made my Jaw drop. Linkin park just seem (shudder)....okay...

hello everyone. i just thought i would say hi. i havent been to the speakout in a while, so i had to catch up. lots of suckey things happening to me. people piss me off. i think i failed my multivariable calculus test today. i have no money left (fuck you, financial aid!). i'm beginning to hate the shallowness of some people i know. well, i always have hated it, but these are people i just met, so i am discouraged to find they are shallow. but i got tickets to see perfect circle on feb 2... and finger eleven on jan 25, so... i cant be too upset i guess. i'll listen to elux on the bus on my way from school i think. that will make me feel better. i hate having 4oclock classes... it's dark when i leave my house, and it's dark when i return. anyways. i was wondering, how many people here are musicians in some regard? tell me what you play n'stuff. i'm curious. and how long you played and whatnot. or dont tell me. can you see i'm rambling? sorry. gonna go now. hope to actually post regularly at some point soon :) --sks

Hey everyone:) I'm just listening to the songs on the site and they sound totally ace!!!! :))) You see, a year ago last Monday, I had a load of CDs knicked from my car, including HWP and Snot and everything. Well, to cut a long story short, I got them back this Monday passed....EXACTLY a year since they were stolen!!!!! lol So, I've been going through all these CDs I haven't heard in a year, and I got stuck on HWP:) Listened to it 3 times tonight already! lol I totally forgot how much I loved the album, Aimee's voice especially. Hey Hyp! I'm here every day! Just to let you all know. Apparently the number one single this week in the UK is set to be......Limp Bizkit. Not even one of their best songs.
Now, I should be happy. A rock band? At no. one? Brilliant! Only, Limp Bizkit sum up all I hate about Metal. With the possible exception of Wez, who is pretty funny, and as a guitarist, I can see he's amazing.

Emily....GREAT! Where I lived for the last 15 years or so, everyone wanted to get a boring safe Job, get enough money to pay their parents rent, and have a safe little existence. There were old people who hadn't been more than five minutes from their house in years, and they were proud of it! You've got ambition, you've got an aim, now go for it! That's probably the main reason i'm at University, just so I can get the hell away! And despite all the hard work and problems I've had, there isn't a day goes by where I'm not thankful I moved away.
I'm not saying you need to be an academic for life, just know that you can get the hell away, and it doesn't mean you have to sleep rough in Hollywood for years to do it. Good luck. As for the Satan thing? I guy told me yesterday that when He first sw me, he thought he would never talk to me, cause I looked like a Maniac. Now we're good friends. It just takes time and patience to prove to rational people that you're not. I say rational, yeah, that rules out most parents.. Good luck anyway.

Sorry if I sound like I am complaining. I just so dislike stereotype people. My friend's mother thinks I worship "satan" because I listen to "rock" music. Her mom believes I am a bad influence on my friend because I go to shows a lot. Why are people be so judgemental these days? She called me stubborn and spoiled. Why? because I am a only child + the music I listen to. Here is the part I don't get. My friend, who is extremely depressed (tired to kill her self by over dose on tyleno), listens to Slipknot and kittie. I am a huge anti-slipknot/kittie person, because those people are making horrible music. There just shouldn't be more bad music out there. Peole need to stop witht he screaming, yelling, and cut throat sound. Anyway, back to my complain. Sorry... Does a lot of you out there get this kinda of treatment from conservative/narrow minded people? I am sure they do, but what can you do about it? I don't think my friend's mom should judge me like that because #1 I don't worship satan, #2 I am not depressed like her daughter! Ugh.. This whole think makes me mad.

well, i had an eventful weekend...As of now im trying to get an internship at DCide records (nothingface's old label here in MD)..Oh oh! and i picked up an album yesterday, Everyone needs to buy Jets To Brazil-Orange Rhyming Dictionary, its AWESOME! Although its old(98) its has the singer from Jawbreaker in it! Oh and i jumped for joy when i finally got my VOD-imprint back(she had it for a year or so)..God i love the song colorblind! OH! almost forgot, my friend got tickets and backstage passes to the Get Up Kids and Weezer show, and he asked me to go! Well, seeing as you were so interested in my lov elife, I feel you deserve an update. I decided to go for the girl I like most, I got up the courage to say something, went to talk to her...and got rejected in the nicest way ever. She's such a kind person, but it doesn't stop me feeling shit. Thankfully the Bar was shut, so I couldn't get wasted. Oh well. Puke, it's a shame to see you go. As for the argument thing, I can only speak for myself, but I see it as that you don't know people well enough over the net to argue on personaly terms, and I myself am scared sometimes to push a point, incase I say something offensive. Say you were to suggest that you thought Rapists were being treated too harshly, only to find the person you were arguing with had been raped? I only use that as an example, but you see the problems that can arise.

i have yet to meet a single person who will continue a discussion with me. if somebody makes a statement and i challenge it even in the nicest way possible without losing my temper or anything, nobody will ever follow through with the discussion. they suggest that we just agree to disagree and leave it at that. why is that? am i wrong to offer a different opinion on the subject? to me, if someone believes in something enough to preech it in any way - vocally, typed, whatever - then they should be willing to defend their views to the end. i dont mean being blindly stubborn, i mean being able to know exactly what you're talking about and being able to fully defend your opinion in a rational intellectual manner. i have yet to meet a single person like this, but i hear that they exist. perhapse it's the duality of man... someone is willing to challenge another's beliefs but, as soon as his own are at stake then the conversation must be put to an end before any other type of closure can be reached. like i said before, all i was trying to do was understand, but i guess that's not going to happen.
i took time out of packing to write this so forgive me if i sound stressed out. i'm leaving a similar situation. in this instance however, the opinions i am challenging are my parents' and apparantly the only closure that can be reached is the subtraction of myself from the equation. i doubt that this is a 'good-bye' to all of you but it may be some time before i sit in front of another computer. in any event, i must return to the task at hand. take care of yourselves.

I guess the difficult thing is that I always used to have one person I was mad about, and so it would just be a case of getting up the courage to ask her. Now There are a few ladies I like. Some are more attractive than others, some are nicer people, smoe have boyfriends ni other parts of the country... so it's all a matter of deciding who to ask. Do I say something to one girl? Or wait and see if another has broken up with her guy? Do I go for the attractive girl? Or the one who I think I actually have a chance with?
And yet when I write that I feel like such a misogynist. I don't view these womn as objects, unlike most guys I see, yet when I write that, I feel really guilty.

Trigger. I like what you said torwards the end of your point.. however, the rebelling thing. Why rebel? for attention more in likely.. Their are only a few of good reasons to rebel and that is if you may have a strong dislike about something.. Example: Lets say they make people pray in school.. I will protest since I do not believe in religion, that would be a form of rebeling used in a good form. Lets say you rebel just for the sake of being a rebel.. I'm in a bit of a tricky situation here. Two of my friends at uni have finally "Got Together". I'm REally happy for them both, and I'm trying to show that, but I feel so alone whenever I see them.... I have a list of several people i'm interested in, but I really think I have no chance of anything happening with any of them. I know I should face up to it, and all the people I'v etalked to have said that it's worth the risk and all, but I really don't think I could handle the rejection. But in the same way I don't think I can handle being stuck here alone for much longer. Help. What can I do..

Good luck for the gig m'dear. And a very good point Trigger. I often get weird looks from people for how I drees, but then "Metal" people are often shocked that I listen to Jeff Buckley, or the Smiths, or Fiona Apple or Whatever. soz 2 anyone I annoyed wiv the slipknot thing (especially u Puke) but they're contstantly in my face. Everywhere I go I see 12 year olds in Slipknot jackets being pricks (okay we've all done that not with slipknot but we learn from our mistakes). Thanx 2 da person who likes my name Urs is ...out there (no offence it's origional). Slipknot are everywhere and everyone should realise it's talent that matters (should matter) not image. KoRn are gud coz of Sounds like (Hed) pe and Snot, HWP, THE START and Will Haven but as long as there are bands people can latch onto and rebel with eg slipknot and Marilyn Manson There will always be sum1 like me around to rebel against the rebelion (I hope that's spelt right or I'd feel like a prick). Oh yeah Puke my band were Deplore (the name sucks but It dont matter we split up). We did a gig and we started writin our own cool stuff until... (dramatic pause).. The band fell into our own styles (me in2 (Hed) pe etc. The drummer Loves Green Day. The guitarist and vocalist love metallica and our lead guitarist is a black metal head) so we aint done much (anything) in 8 months. I'm findin a new band now I kinda have a drummer + I have a bassist (me), My fiancee will sing Or I will and there's loadsa guitarists to grab in wolverhampton so maybe it'll work. First - I wish to sing the praises of Evesham computers. Upon leaving University in Dec., I accidentaly dropped my computer monitor down a flight of stairs. It still works. THAT deserves respect. Also, are we discussing bands that we think will get big, or bands we want to get big? I personally would love nothing more than to see theSTART top the charts everwhere, but I don't think they will. Not that this is a problem. However there are bands I don't really like *coughlimpbizkitcoughpaparoachcough* who I think will. Shame, but still, if everone had my opinions, life would be dull. Easy, but dull. Also, people do bitch about Kerrang a lot, but the few times i've met anyone from Kerrang, they've been people who are passionate and open minded about music. OK, it's gone downhill recently, coincidentally at the same time as Phil Alexander moved upstairs, but is there really anything else out there that's as good? ya, frozertt, be my guest. by the way, i think the world will end on march 31st. what all of you are forgetting (or possibly never knew) is that new years wasn't always on january first. it makes no sence for the new year to start in the middle of winter, it should start around spring. and march...um...twenty-somethingith is the first day of spring. the pagans celebrated new years on april first but the church changed it to coincide with the birth of christ bla bla bla. so anyone who was left thinking that the new year started on the first was a "fool". hence "april fools day" was born. so, since 01 is the true millenium and the old new years has yet to occur, there's still one more chance for the world to end.

Hmmm...actually we should all be quite nervous. I mean sure, the world didn't end with Y2K, nor did it end at 1900, nor 1800, etc. But the fact is that we all have to face our little "end of the world". We may be young, we may be old, we may be rich, we may be poor, we may be beautiful, we may be ugly...but honey: we all gotta go one day! And who knows when that day will be. It could be tomorrow, it could be in 50 years, but we should know for certain that it's the one appointment we can't miss. Actually, it's kind of funny, because we're already dead. Well, at least this comlplex, delicate flesh machine we call the body is. It's simply made up of material energy: earth, water, fire, air, ether and subtle energy, like mind, intelligence and false ego. And all these elements and chemicals are dead matter. So the body is already dead. Death is simply that transition when we have to leave this present machine and enter into another one. Hmmm...it's like we're part of a bigger picture, but we often fail to step back and see it...as far as what bands will be famous: it'll be whoever has the karma for it...but of course that's all temporary; famous one day and forgotten the next. It's just like Manson sings on "Lamb of God". And my New Year's resolution is..drum roll please...to become truly selfless!

I wanna know why as well. I like Jamie more than Shannon (he has a girly name no offence). Jamie was the origional SNOT drummer so should've played on strait up although 'ABSCENT' had Jamie's wicked beats on it. Does any1 know the release date for the start's album in da U.K coz like HWP i need to get it on the day it comes out so I feel special. Love and kisses

well hello there my lovelies... ah we've made it to 2001! it's seems so strange. my grandmother and her friends will have to come up with a new date for the end of the world as we know it. I believe this is the fourth end date to pass in my lifetime. I'm no longer nervous and neither should anyone be, which means we'll all have to start taking better care of ourselves ... we may be here awhile! my resolution is to do no harm (including to myself)it is lofty, as I am only human, but at least I am striving. for everyones information I AM NOT WRITING A BOOK at this time. I believe it is Sir Puke who is the author of "my views on stuff" that was mentioned! and anyone who goes by a name like Puke should definitely attach a Sir to the front. I knight thee. the very best Girls Against Boys record is "VENUS LUXURE NO.1 BABY" Dean go buy it now. It was made in the fair city of Baltimore at a studio called Oz. That should please you, you being a being a neighbor and all! we are inching closer and closer and closer still. I burn the way that money burns...

Is Aimee really doing a book?So is Tairre B of My Ruin.I have heard her talk about it in interviews and when I met her recently after a show she told me all about it when I asked her.She said it was a coffee table kinda collage styled artbook with thousands of photos,poetry,lyrics,letters and personal stuff like journal pages.What is your book about Aimee?That is so totally cool that you are both doing books I can't wait to read each one.Are you and Tairre related or just kindred spirits?Please o please post on the board and tell us all about your book. kisses and hugs missi hellen

Gee thanks for responding Aimee. I really didn't expect you to. (Yeah I know that was about a zillion posts ago, but I haven't been to this board in a month!) So the basic understanding is emotion and feeling through music. This is so true that sound vibration can affect us on so many different levels (as my good friend Puke has so eloquently pointed out...btw puke: I can't wait for your book "My Views On Stuff". I'll be the first in line to get a copy!) Music and sound is definitely a powerful medium for affecting and altering consciousness. In reality, we are surrounded by sound vibration. What we perceive as being solid is really just millions of tiny atoms bouncing around. When something is solid the atoms are vibrating at a very low level and when something is more subtle and etheral, like vapor, gases, sound, etc., it is vibrating at a higher level. So everything in existence is actually just energy, vibrating at different levels. Even our thoughts and minds and intelligence are a certain type of energy. Hmmm...I could get really deep into this, but since I have a short attention span, I'll end there. So thank you once again Aimee for your response. I'll be looking forward to the new album..oh yeah, and that manifesto for the band that you offered! ;) Maybe you could write that little explanation about the purpose of your music and include it in your up-coming CD. That would be keen. Peace out.
