lily, im sorry if you took it that way, but it honestly wasnt meant as so. none of my comments were ever meant, in any way, to cut anyone down or to belittle anyone on this board. i just...i cannot stand gossip; the kind that goes back and forth for days and days, where absolutely nothing is accomplished but rather people, by name, get sucked into negativity, particularly the bandmembers. im not an elitist by any means, i just want to come here to create positivity, not dispute. if that were so, i would be hard on the warpath, naming names and firing insults, but thats not the case. no one is at fault for anything in my eyes, it's that the environment has the tendency to grow tense. id be lying if i didnt admit that i have partaken in things like this, everyone does. its just deplorable all around. but like i said, i dont look down upon anyone like you indict. what genuinely sucks about reading text is that you get no tone of voice, no facial expression with these words, which is how i personally get my point across more often then not---so some of the time things, like my prior comments, get misconstrued. imgaine me saying that last message, in person, with my hands up in the air, in the tone of a quiet question. that was how i meant it; it was just a suggestion, not a demand or insult toward the group, and definitely no impliccation that i was in any way better than anyone else. i apologize for that.

Liberty Lunch with the Deftones and Man Will Surrender in Austin a few years ago. It was the last show of the tour, so we bought 6 live chickens and let them go onstage during the Deftones set, while spraying whipped cream and throwing tortilla's at them. (No chickens were harmed. someone actually came into my work today (i work in a video store, of the small town variety), glanced at the DVD section, and by god i fucking SWEAR he said, and i quote "Are these them there (?) new divids ev'rywon's talkin 'bout?"...DIVIDS?!? and not even an hour before that a woman walked in and passed by the full sized Data-from-Star Trek cutout and, without stopping, walked straight up to the counter, slapped her hands down and said "That there Data's a HOMO robot." turned around, walked out. WHAT THE FUCKIN IS HAPPENING TO THIS COUNTRY?!?!? attempting to engage these people in any from of semi-intelligent conversation is like trying to show a dog a card trick. like bill hicks said, they all find me as equally incomprehensible as the ufo's they're always on tv claiming they shot at. Yeah Hypnaughtica the new COLD album is AWESOME!!!!! echo - good idea. i only mentioned something because for ages people over at the myruin board thought everyone was too scared to post about tairrie over here. then someone posted the whole thing about the my ruin show - so i finally said something. i know i said like a thing or 2 over on the myruin board - i really tried my best to stay out of it. yet i couldn't refuse this time over here. i just don't see why if people don't like it, that they just don't have the guts to at least admit they respect it because it's out there. i don't like music like n'sync or britney spears but i respect the fact that those artists are out there making music, doing what they may want to do. that's more then i can say for some people out there. as i've stated before to each her/his own. we like what we like and we dislike what we dislike. yet there is always room for change. all in all - i hope this hasn't raised some sort of war or something by bringing the whole thing up. it was just a topic to talk about for a few days. nothing more. farewell everyone. take care, enjoy the rest of the day and hell wear a tie! hehe. byebyez.

Wow, I go away for the weekend and look what errupts here! This is all very amusing to me. People attack what frightens them. It only suggests that people have an opinion of us and that we have been on their minds. The jokes on them. Their attempted derision has backfired. We all know the best way to destroy something is to pay it no attention at all, not give it more attention! We are unharmed, so let's not pay it any mind. Ties are just cool, (If they are skinny ties).It's not about who you follow. Getting people to wear ties to a show just made me look at the crowd!, because it was interesting. I'm a fan of the fan's, and I thought they looked cool!

It wasn't to 'follow Aimee' or whatever....it was a way for my friends and I to show support for theSTART. I wish those people at the My Ruin message board would calm down. Whatever. Well here's my two cents, or pence, or whatever. I really liked the My ruin site iyself, and still think that Tairrie is an incredibly talented individual. But the one time I went on the Message board, all I could see was really bad poetry, and People so up their own rectums their sense of pretention was all they had left. As an example, I met a girl at Reading who was complaining about crowdsurfers and basically going on about how pathetic everyone around her was, while constantly repeating that it was her ambition (and I quote) "to fuck Tairrie B". I have no problem with My ruin fans, but so many of them just seem to irritate me. Wheras everyone here rules. Nuff said. Videodrone + My Ruin are playing on the same day, different places (that's gonna be a tough one to choose from). And then Thursday Orgy is playing in San Diego. hey now - seeing as i'm doing a project on a music video director, i came up with an idea. if theSTART has not already found one for their first video they should really consider looking at floria sigismondi's work. she has created many amazing videos. david bowie's 'little wonder' video was done by her, as well as marilyn manson's 'the beautiful people' and 'tourniquet', and also filter's '(can't you) trip like i do' video. she has amazing ideas and the videos are always good. i just thought i'd make the suggestion :) take care everyone. byebyez.

Just promise us that when theSTART attain the worldwide fame they deserve that you'll remember us! I think the Ties is a great idea, and I shall be suitably decorated when the guys are here. Ohh, and as for reading? You might have seen me, but my girlfriend was wearing the jacket more than I was! Put it this way I have black hair, she has red, so You might not have seen ME per se. However, I was a tad hungover and my vision wasn't what it should be - so i couldn't read the things on your lab shirt properly... AAAAAgh I've been called out! Kidneythief it HAS been awhile since i've posted. I suppose I was waiting for something meaningful to say (ie. a release date for the album) just to let you all know all the dates you have been given up to now are rumor and only rumor. I apologize on everyone who has given out false information's behalf. There have been wonderful changes occuring in STARTland. I give you my word however that it won't be too much longer for us all to have answers and when we have them so will you. Trust me,it feels like a lifetime for us as well and we are so eager to hit the road. The Whisky show was my favorite ever for theSTART, entirely due to the slew of heretics in attendance, most making their solidarity statement by wearing ties! It was glorious and I hope to see more of you next show. I think we might start a tradition of the end of the show photo of everyone wearing a tie to post here. I know someone has a Pic of all of you together that night. that could be the first one. Thanks to X for the new heretic definition. Hi Hyp, haven't said that in awhile glad you are alive and well! Not that many people here probably like or even heard of this band, but everyone check them out!... the band i'm talking about is AFI. They have a new cd coming out Sept. 26th, called "the Art of Drowning". The style is punk/hardcore, but is VERY UNIQUE. They even used violin in one of their new songs. Just a little story I thought i'd pass on. I was at Reading this weekend, and saw an amazing set by Amen. Sonny announced that the band would be waiting by the stage to meet any fans that wanted to come over. I raced over , and found myself getting my photo taken with Casey Chaos. I was wearing my Lab Jacket from College, which, as I no longer needed it, I had dyed Blue. I had also written m,any band logos over it. I decided to get the whole band to sign it, and Managed. While talking to Tumor, he noticed I had HWP on the chest. "Did you get to see them over here?" "Kind of. Only at the ozzfest". I take my chance. "So have you heard Aimee's new band? theSTART?" "Oh yeah, they're great. I love 'em. I used to be in Snot with a couple of the guys." "I know". "Aimee's so sweet isn't she". Here I am, in the middle of a field, with a band I think are fantastic, discussing a band who I love even more, and have never even seen! I just thought it funny......

I'd just like too say..theStart was one of the best shows I've seen in a while. Needless too say Apex theory and dredg did a VERY good job too. People seem to forget the little people... Well I feel it was well worth the money. I got too be right in front, which probably won't be possible if 'circles' sells millions(which it probably will). Well, the show last night was absolutely AMAZING. Of course, we were all wearing ties, as planned :) Aimee and I were *twins*! I could almost say that last night was the best show I had ever been to, but then at the end of the night...when all was said and done...someone stole my camera. Oh god I cried the whole night. I had so many great LIVE pix of you, and I met Jay, Paige, and Amir!!! EVERYTHING was on that camera!!! :*( Oh god. Oh well. Anyway...I just wanted you guys to know that you were amazing. Can't wait till the next show!! And Mike, when you said you loved us...I hope that wasn't the alcohol talking :)

theStart's show last nite was truly awesome. Aimee, Jaimie, Mike, and Scott looked truly fabulous. Jaimie, don't make fun of 'cuz I'm vertically challenged LOL.
