today it feels like the curse has been lifted ... anyone else feel it? a shift I haven't felt in years. perhaps we've slipped out of the alternate universe and into the real or vice-versa ...the date is 3/5/2000 or 5/3/2000 if elsewhere. on Jupiter the days are ten hours long and to orbit the sun it takes twelve Earth years. Imagine how many days are in a Jupiter year... further proof that time, as we know it, is a manufactured concept. I am warm and dreaming while awake. right now you should be with me feeling how I feel...invitation extended my friends... love to all of you

hey, I had that cold thing! Cold medicine won't work, either (at least it didn't work for me). They make that stuff for wimps anyway. Here's what my grandma told me to do, and it worked for me, so try it. (Trust my grandma, she's a 20 year old trapped in a little old german lady's body, and she NEVER gets sick) Every hour, mix 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of whiskey, then drink it. I know it sounds goofy, but I did this on sunday and I was better on monday. If you don't like that one, grandma also said you could mix the tip of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, the tip of a teaspoon of ginger, and just enough water to dissolve them, and take it like a shot. I wouldn't recommend that one though. I've never tried it, but she calls it "the bullet"...YIKES!!!.............love always, adrienne

Okay so like today, me and my best friend Nikkerz went to NYC to go attempt to find Robert Smith...well somehow (a miracle?) we were able to get tickets off a scalper for 70 each (which was nothing compared to the 150-300 they were going for..saying its your birthday DOES work) so I actually got to go to the show, which was THE most amazing thing I have EVER seen, and I got to drink Cran-Vodkas all nite : X...THEN *pants* after waiting outside in the freezing cold for 3 1/2 hrs....I....met....Robert *dies* Most people who know me know Im a total Cure nut, so this has been the happiest day of my life...Anyway I took some pics of the show, hopefully if they come out good Ill have em scanned sometime this week but Im a fucker and thought Id never meet them so *kixs self over and over* I used all my film during the show = ( But yeah I just decided to post all my happiness heh..Im done now..shoot me if you must <3 to all

happy birthday to CORY and STEPH!congrats amanda!it's been raining all week and ENO is depressed about that ... he says it's too cold and refuses to move from the heater. He is angry because the park is too muddy to go for a walk, but, he heard the mostly completed album and danced for a bit indoors. He thinks you all will like it! He gets upset sometimes when we rehearse because he has to sit in the bedroom due to the fact that noone has designed proper earplugs for chihuahuas. I told him with all the technological advances these days in the earplug field somebody is bound to come up with something, although I'm not sure there is enough demand for chihuahua earplugs ,so ...we'll have to wait and see. Those are some large ears he has!

how come u can work so hard for sumthing yet it goes unseen and is ignored? especially when sumone else gets all this credit for this and that but yer left in the dark? it just makes u feel like such a failure when u worked so hard to achieve sumthing yet it goes unrecognized...in yer mind u see what u did wrong...u see the flaws and what could have been better and just maybe this time it'll be noticed...but then its not...so u strive for perfection and when u reach what u think is perfection to u - it still doesn't count...sorry for this post...its a little negative but i'm not in a great mood yet again...

hey, i just saw american beauty...and it was the most interesting film...personally id almost go as far as saying it was flawless. Funny and yet totally screwed up at the same time..CAN You BelIVeeveeee JAne is really 28!!!!!!!! and...all throughout the theatre...the silent bits made everyone go really quiet...and then the funny bits made Everyone laugh...it was so good. (thanks mikey n Kevin for taking me -xxx-) It just goes to show..that noones life is as simple as it should be...and sometimes, when you try and change your life, it just gets more and more complicated. thanks aimee, ill try n keep em coming :) Fiona...didnt i meet you once with your brother at a gig with Looocy ? coolness. thought for the day: "dont get caught by your wife/husband jerking off in bed at night when you think she's asleep" - (kinda from american Beauty) or more sensible thought: "be more psychotic than the psychos stalking you and then they'll go away"-me and "stand firm for what you believe in...for it matters not in the end except others will make u immortal for your bravery"-me

I was actually going to post about the new cure record but echo beat me to it!! Brilliant as per usual..As we are on the topic of the cure I thought I'd ask all the fellow heretics what your favourite cure album and/or song (that's if u have an opinion on Mr Smith and co.) I, myself cannot choose a favourite album as it depends on my mood but at the moment it is disintegration but the song that I am in absolute awe over is charlotte sometimes..And I will follow echo's lead.. "the further we go - and older we grow - the more we know - the less we show..." Robert Smith toying with the idea that it may be better to die *very* young.. Laura

Under the rule of Emperor Claudius II Rome was involved in many bloody and unpopular campaigns. Claudius the Cruel was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. He believed that the reason was that roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. As a result, Claudius cancelled all marriages and engagements in Rome. The good Saint Valentine was a priest at Rome in the days of Claudius II. He and Saint Marius aided the Christian martyrs and secretly married couples, and for this kind deed Saint Valentine (the Heretic?) was apprehended and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. So you see, its appropriate to honor St Valentine by having a lousy Valentines day! Heretics Rule! ~human

it's ok not to be in good moods. I mean, I think it's one thing to wallow in anger and sadness (MEMEMEME), but when you've had a bad week or day, sometimes I think it's right to just experience the feelings. like today.. I just delivered other ppl's valentine's for 10 hours (floral delivery) and now I'm home, tired, hungry, frustrated, and alone. But it's ok. Tomorrow's a new day and while I already can count the mistakes in it, eventually things will be better.

Today is the mother of all bad days, but nothing can keep me down. Not even the fact that my girlfriend is 100 miles away and she's sick and her mom just got arrested. I really want to be with her but I can't. I've got night class until 9:30!! All of these things suck, butI know that there are others whose problems are far worse than mine. So, on the mother of bad days, cheer up everyone, because there is always something worse that could be happening.

I'll start this of by saying HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! To everyone, if you're single like me and have been cheated on and treated like sh*t in the past then don't worry , there's always someone better coming along it just takes time, then when you do find that person who is right for you and wont treat u like sh*t then you'll realise it was well worth the wait... well at least I hope it's worth the wait. If you like someone and haven't I have had the most interesting weekend ever , some of the shittiest things happened to me, but they're part of what made my weekend so good coz I learnt from them.. I went to a place I've never been to before. One of the things that happened to me was that on the way home my friend and me missed the Train by 3 minutes and the next one wasn't for 2 hours, so we spontaneously decided to walk to the next train station. As we had never been there before we didn't realise that the next station was 25 miles away and after walking for an hour meet someone on the way who informed us how far away it really was , so we had to walk all the way back. But I don't regret any of the bad stuff that happened to me nor walking all that way only to walk back, it would take me forever to explain why and to explain all the other things i experiance this past weekend ,I've taken up enough page as it is , but I feel that the physical journey I went on is the one people go on mentally .You travel down a road you've never even seen before not knowing if your going to make it or not , sometimes we realise it's not what we want so we have to turn back and find a different way , but at the end of the day it's always worth a try because you never know what you might learn on the way or where you might end up .So the moral of this story is that if ever you have an opportunity to do something new ,take it. And just remember to saviour the precious moments because they don't last forever, and the bad moments they don't last forever either, never let them take over you . On the subject of style, I personally find having your own style that you are satisfied with is an important thing , so I'm happy for Aimee that she has found a new style which is her own. It's nothing like Tarrie's , just because she's dyed her hair black , but how many people do that? Even though I find style important when it comes to liking a band I like them for the music and the bands attitude , what they sing about , not what they look like but if they have a good image or looks then that's a bonus but it's not what matters in the slightest. The problem with the music scene today, is that bands get rated for the way they look or how many k's they're given in Kerrang , to many people go by others judgement and not their own. woowww this is long sorry for taking up so much space I just had a lot to say. One last thing KATIE I'm really happy for you I hope you get it together with Rob coz you deserve to. Bye.

Ok thats my rant for the time being, Im off to go work more on my page, the rennovations are almost complete.<3Steph

I think that amiee echo's voice is the best that I have heard and I find that funny because I am someone how is in to really heavy shit like (Korn, deftones, metallica, coal chamber, slipknot). But as well as listening to them I have also started to listen to bands like Tura satana and gunao apes but I still think that amiee's voice is the best it just echo's through my ears and I love it.So if anybody wants to talk then e-mail me I will be welcome. P.S. (Hopefully a girl because I am single).

attention: I have some startling info, back in the early nineties tairrie and aimee became friends, if you ask anyone who knows them both the following will be what you hear. Tairrie was a rapper and aimee was in the goth industrial scene,by the way she had black hair then, and in the fetish world as well. tairrie was one thing, a rapper in dickies with abeanie on her head. check out her first album ,power of a woman it speaks for itself. She had a completely different style and from my memory it was nothing like she is now,by the way she was ablonde . i believe it was aimee who first introduced tairrie to her new image. slowly she began to perform like aimee onstage and even wore dresses. she rapped . THEN SHE SAW JESSICKA FROM JACK OFF JILL.that's when she really started to change.she bit jessicka so hard.it was like aimee and jessicka had an evil spawn except they can both sing! I watched it all happen. it's perfectly clear if you add it up.e-lux ,short for electralux, was made in 96 the tura satana record wasn't made until 97.look at the song titles and the lyrics of both records and see who is ripping off who. i mean c'mon aimeee wrote a song called one night in spain, tairrie uses that as achorus a year later.do it, compare the records. you'll see that that is just one example c'mon eternalux- electralux what came first the chicken or the egg.and as for tairrie saying inkerrang that immitation is the best form of flattery, i'm sure aimee and jessicka have been flattered for years!oh yeah and great courage to the voice of reason for leaving her email!
as if anyone cares <imacreep9>
-
the Cure for sure.. saw a poster for them the other day and its riding the same wave (which is GREAT).. if tairrie and aimee had never been friends, i don't think you would be making those comparisons. there is room enough in this world for them both and plenty more.
luxy
-
Personally, I love her voice - you don't think Tairrie's is more screechy (I do like her music BTW)? I do. And I really don't see any similarity besides the hair - if anything, I see more of a link with the Cure, the Jam...
Kenickie
-
I didn't slag them - if you read my original message, I asked if anyone agreed with me. i like thestart stuff a bit better than hwp (and I have listened to e-lux plenty in the past). But - aimee's voice IS screechy and grating, you can't deny that. I just wondered if ppl liked the music or....THE HYPE!!! k?AND...something DID happen between tairrie and aimee, they fell out, tairrie says aimee is copying her and, on the evidence, that would appear to be true.
the voice of reason
-
Look - what is the POINT of coming all the way to a site of a band you don't like to slag them off? If you don't like them, if you have a problem with it, fair enough - but why go out of your way to upset people? And just because Aimee's got black hair she's copying Tairrie? Puh-lease!
Kenickie
-
Where's my message?? Must've STRUCK A NERVE!!! So...a speak out where you can't speak out? Be heard and not seen - unless we don't like what you say? I mean, Tairrie's image is GREAT - but it is HER image...and 'borrowing' is fine, but it should fit in with you, not take over. You know I'm right. Oh - and I Knew someone would pick on my spelling error - well, with such a reasonable and valid argument I suppose fault can't be found with my case!! ;p
the voice of reason
-
ECHO - So I see! Always admired the man's drumming skills - in fact, my old band used to play Dog as a cover, and I loved playing his part. Inevitably, we'd end up playing it real fast so my arms would hurt afterwards. ; )

Hey everyone. Im so late on these things, but Im here now, not like it matters much but yeah. Im sure not many people have gone to the site, so click my name and go! And sign the guestbook, I will love you all forever ; ) Anyway I cant wait for the album, Im still constantly listening to my HWP cd which I think I need to get a new copy of soon, its getting quite scratched. I just joined the cult! haha whenever I see Powerman 5000 now and I talk to Mike, I miss HWP. I think it's funny how my favorite bands break up, and then go create other new bands together. A band breakup is sort of a sad thing, but as much as I loved HWP (and I still listen to the cd all the time), I am so excited for theSTART, excited to have Mike in PM5K cuz I was already a huge PM5K fan, and hope to see PMM someday.. It's a wonderful thing to have so many neat people creating this stuff together and sharing it with us. I look at my friends and I, in the middle or end of college, and I can see how we are not flexing our creative muscles. This music and the people making it, always remind me that I need and want to do that.

Um Hello... another British one here then... This page is most cool and I would like to take this opportunity to say that theSTART rule and that they are destined for great things. over 'n' out. (I know, I know - but I couldn't come up with anything slightly profound or intelligent to say.)

Brett - there are a lot of British fans here aren't there? I think HWP got a lot more (deserved) recognition here than in America, which was a terrible shame. Never mind - I'm sure theSTART will surpass anything HWP did in terms of success.

The new look (site AND band!) is great! Really stylish, totally New Wave. Or New Wave of New Wave. Or whatever they're calling it these days. ; )Really looking forward to the new album - so much you wouldn't believe. And come over to the UK soon!
